The Canadian Canoe Museum has partnered with several wonderful local inns, resorts and attractions to provide you with an unforgettable experience here in the Kawarthas.  Whether you're looking for a day trip or an all-inclusive package lasting several days, each experience offers the highest quality and personal service.

We have a variety of packages for every budget, with group rates available. Pricing information is available upon request.


Journeys of Discovery

Journeys of Discovery is an Ontario tourism alliance made up of 14 select historic and cultural sites across southern Ontario, including The Canadian Canoe Museum.  Journeys of Discovery offers Canadians a chance to go behind-the-scenes at these historic and cultural sites and meet one-on-one with archaeologists, curators, biologists, artisans interpreters, costumers and storytellers who share their knowledge of our rich history and provide a unique perspective on the cultures and people who shaped this province and built our nation.

Riverboat Luncheon and Museum Tour

Liftlock Cruises Cruise back in time.  Your journey begins with an historic cruise through the waters of the Trent Severn Waterway aboard the Island Princess.  Then travel to The Canadian Canoe Museum to experience the country's enduring connection to its great waterways.

Arts in the Wild

Arts in the Wild Engaging arts programs await you, inspired by the beautiful Ontario landscape.  Scotsman Point Resort and The Canadian Canoe Museum are offering two to five day programs on the shores of Buckhorn Lake.  They include Soapstone Carving, Landscape Painting in Watercolour, Oil and Acrylics, Photography and Exploring Native Culture through Art.  Emphasis is on small group settings and the personal guidance of instructors. 

These arts programs appeal to beginning and intermediate artists as well as seasoned artists seeking new techniques.  Programs include instruction, lakeside accommodations and meals at Scotsman Point Resort, admission to The Canadian Canoe Museum, and day trips to nearby cultural heritage sites.

Kawartha Lakes Spirit Walks

Spirit Walks Native people have thrived in the Kawartha Lakes region for millennia.  "Spirit Walks" takes you on a journey of the past, present and future of these communities through guided tours of sacred sites, natural wonders and cultural events. 

By participating in these experiences, you will hear first-hand, through the eyes and from the heart of the First Nations People of the Kawarthas, their distinctive history and Native culture.  The Canadian Canoe Museum is proud to be a Spirit Walks partner.
